The Colorado School for Family Therapy provides a learning context in which understanding and respect for diversity and non-discrimination are fundamentally addressed, practiced, and valued in our curriculum, program structure, and clinical training. In accordance with COAMFTE accreditation standards, the School recruits and retains a diverse faculty, board of directors, student body, clinical supervision staff, and clinical site selection list; addresses issues related to power and privilege as they relate to sociocultural factors; and provides students with opportunities to work with a diverse client population during their matriculation. The School is an educational program which trains students in advanced clinical work. Therapists are graduate students and post-master's degree clinicians working toward certification in marriage and family therapy and state licensure. All of our therapists have experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and are in ongoing supervision with licensed faculty members. If you think that the School may be able to help, please contact us at 720-859-0464. If we are unavailable to take your call, please leave a message and we will get back to you. Over the phone, we will ask some basic questions that will help us understand how we can best serve you. This should take approximately ten minutes. This information will be used to match you with one of our therapists who will best meet your needs. Once a clinician has been paired with you, she/he will contact you as soon as possible and arrange a time to meet. The Colorado Compassion Initiative In October 2003, the School received a sub-award grant from the Colorado Compassion Initiative to provide culturally competent and faith-based counseling services through the center.
