Who
is eligible | Program cost and content The Colorado School for Family Therapy has the only accredited Certificate in Sex Therapy program in
this region. The program is accredited by the American
Board of Sexology, headquartered in Florida. Certification requires
one year of post graduate study in a five class program. Classes begin
in September and graduation will take place the following August.
The Colorado School for Family Therapy is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Private Occupation School Board. The School is also approved

at 720-489-5150 Clinicians with a Masters degree in a mental health-related field, licensure candidates, licensees, and graduate students in counseling related disciplines are eligible to enter the Certificate in Sex Therapy program. Students will need to make case presentations on their clinical practice with individuals and couples experiencing sexually related issues during the Sex Therapy 704: Practicum course portion. The total cost of the Certificate in Sex Therapy program is $3,000.00 (five classes x 600.00). Each of the five classes may be taken as “stand alone courses” at the cost of $600.00 per class. Requirements include 120 contact hours of education and 30 hours of clinical supervision. The clinical supervision hours are provided in the Sex Therapy 704: Practicum class that runs concurrent with the four didactic courses over the academic year. Students will present clinical cases on Sex Therapy for review by the clinical supervisor. Each class and the practicum is 30 contact hours/ 4 quarter hours. Graduates of the School
